I was a former contractor myself and worked in construction for many years so I know a good painter when I see one. A good paint job is about knowing how to prepare each surface to receive the paint. Then also nowadays it's important to have experience with the different coatings currently available. Finally its important have the skills needed to apply the paint (spray, brush, etc) and proceed in a workmanlike manner doing what needs to be done efficiently but without cutting corners. From estimate to finish it is clear that Brush'n'Roll operates with a very high level of professionalism and competence so I recommend this company without reservation.

There are permanent features of the home that have their own colors which cannot be changed when painting the exterior of the home but can have a dramatic satisfaction level that is experienced when the painting is completed.  Roofing shingles, paving blocks, concrete surfaces, stones and other such features are prime examples of the colors that should be considered when selecting your exterior color scheme for the home.  Homeowners can work off of these colors to make a home that looks uniform and luxurious when the exterior painting is complete. "We contacted Vadim after buying a home that needed some updating. They were incredibly responsive, despite the tough times and were able to get us a affordable quote for the effort we were asking for. Vadim and David took such pride in their job, made up for mistakes of the previous paint companies years before them, and provided a perfect paint job while always being extremely mindful of protecting the rest of the home." "Spraying NorthWest is a reliable, consistent, professional team that did a fantastic job on the exterior of my house. What I appreciate most about their work is that it's neat, easy and they offered up some great suggestions when I was on the fence with some colors. They were affordable and on time. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again." Thornton Home Painting
Even if you think you'll probably do the job yourself, it's good preparation to seek estimates from professional exterior home painters near you. Then you'll have a financial point of comparison and you may benefit from what a home painting contractor has to say about the condition of your home, color choices and types of paint available. Let the painter make his pitch for a professional job before you decide what to do. You can still opt to do it yourself while having learned something worthwhile.
Part of the allure of vinyl siding is that it never has to be painted — the vinyl alone is protective. But more than one homeowner has found that it fades over time — especially darker shades exposed to the pounding sun. The good news is that vinyl siding can be painted to change the color or refresh the look of your home, and the better news is — it’s cost-effective.
Seattle Paint and Drywall I normally write reviews for two reason; the first for a job that ended as if a grade schooler did the work, and second if the work was not only completed to my specks, but the demeanor of the owner as well as the workers. I like people that will interact as well as update me as needed and complete the work in the specified time and like I said, completed to the specks in which the owner or supervisor said it would be. I contacted Patrick Sears, the owner and told him what we were looking at (paint the exterior of our home), and we set a date for Patrick to come out and give us and estimate. I was impressed with Patrick on our first contact. Patrick was very business-like but also friendly and easy to speak with. We went through everything and he explained things I wasn’t sure about. That is the way a business should be run. Because of his and his crews schedule he said it would be a couple of weeks before they could come out to do the job, which was no big deal for us. Patrick stayed in contact and we figured out the colors we wanted, he was a great help. On the day the painters arrived, Manuel introduced himself and the crew. My wife and I were really impressed with Manuel. He was friendly, knowledgeable and kept us informed throughout the project. They ensured paint chips were removed and the wood was cleaned before painting. The project (overall) was a little over two days. The last day Kevin (I think that was his name), came over and touched up whatever needed to be touched up. Like the others, Kevin was awesome! Kevin, like the rest of the team was very friendly and wanted nothing more than to ensure our job was done to our satisfaction (which it was). The touch ups were completed, everything was cleaned up, it was great. So, you ask… Would I contact Seattle Pain and Drywall again, or recommend them? Without hesitation! They were awesome! Their work was flawless and demeanor professional and interested in what we wanted. The work was done correctly, on time and the price was good. They don’t use cheap paint that will peel off in a couple of months, and the crew was friendly, respectful, and easy to talk with. We plan on having them back to do the interior before we move. Thanks Seattle Paint and Drywall. Robert and Terri, Arlington Washington Thornton Home Painting

Climate is another factor to consider. Sunlight, wind, rain and salty weather can all wear out exterior paint. Oil-based paint is durable against wind, rain and temperature changes, but sunlight tends to degrade it. Alkyd paint chalks and sheds very thin layers when it begins to wear. Latex paint is the more durable option for very sun-drenched and relatively dry climate areas. Latex paint with high vinyl content should be avoided, however. Acrylic resin is by far the more durable binder for outdoor latex paint. House Painting Thornton

John Runland was professional and accommodating to the particular needs of our project. The crews were efficient, safe, and courteous. Their expert professionalism shows in the prep work, painting, and clean up. They were onsite when they were scheduled to be there and communication with us was excellent. I would recommend Runland Painting to any friend or family member. Well Done! Thornton House Painters
