Climate is another factor to consider. Sunlight, wind, rain and salty weather can all wear out exterior paint. Oil-based paint is durable against wind, rain and temperature changes, but sunlight tends to degrade it. Alkyd paint chalks and sheds very thin layers when it begins to wear. Latex paint is the more durable option for very sun-drenched and relatively dry climate areas. Latex paint with high vinyl content should be avoided, however. Acrylic resin is by far the more durable binder for outdoor latex paint. House Painting Thornton
"I am so glad I found you guys! At first I wanted to get new cabinets which is pretty expensive, then I noticed SNW Painters ad on Facebook and thought I'd get a quote just to check the price. Not only was the price affordable to me and saved me a big chunk but my cabinets look like brand new!! I've had people over and just love all the compliments I'm getting, they look fantastic! Thank you so much for painting all of my cabinets. I will definitely recommend you to everyone who is looking. "
That said, depending on the composition of the paint, some exterior paint is appropriate for painting the interior of a home. Paint meant for the exterior of a home will hold up over time.Just be sure that the area being painted is well ventilated, as it will come with a strong smell at first, which will dissipate over time.A painting professional will be able to advise you about whether your exterior paint is appropriate for indoor use.
